The timer in the banner gets out of synch if the browser is open too long, it's worth refeshing every now and then. Anyway it seems the server is based in the -10 UTC timezone, they do mention when the event is supposed to end in -10 UTC time(sun 29, 22:00), so it pays to be mindful of that.

The maintenance came as it was announced for me, it was 3 mins late even (counter got into negative).
