Just doing regular dailies and the event-dailies, I'm getting between 30 and 40 Life Crystals a day, which should be enough to buy the Rainbow Skillbloom and several petals each month. Must admit, I no longer need to buy the Gold Skill blooms (the gold girls still in my squads are already maxed), so that does save me a ton of LCs.
I *never* spend LCs on manyus or ampys though, since there are plenty other ways to get those, and just occasionally on the 2 cheaper Flower Hearts.

I've been saving my life and bond crystals along with my sun medals (stopped buying rainbow skillblooms around half a year ago, started only buying the cheapest of each second affection material when the supplies reset in the bond crystal shop (13 per regular amber and the like), etc) which generally leaves me with more than enough of each resource when Something Important is released.

Now that the normal 80 stamina bonus stage can drop 10 life crystals I sometimes try my luck with it if I have nothing better to spend the stamina on.

I only ever spend LC on petals too but it's still not enough as when 2 bloomable girls come out that's 600 petals together which is a lot
Adding together the girls I haven't bloomed that's 1200 LC I need which is stupid when compared to how quick it is to get the bird blooming items

Also for the 100th time: Night Phlox bloom artwork is still not in the game for some reason
I'm guessing Lycoris still isn't in the game too
