I don't know about the drop rates for the elixir mission, but I got the one I need for Evening Primrose on the first try on first mission, so 5* on beginner.

I remember on DMM, I kept getting dat

pretty sure dat's the norm since bloom birds and petals are hard to get (Idk but I remember only special missions popping up and they ain't permanent. And they are super pricey in shop

DMM redid the elixir maps because it was such a pain in the ass to get the gold ones to drop. Now they have one map for gold and one for rainbow, both with higher drop rates.

blooming elixir maps also happen to be the best maps for getting bond crystal fodder, although at very low stamina efficiency

I think I'm starting to consider stop collecting the event equip sets, I have over 200 equips that's 50 girls or 10 teams....
