Beyond what's already been said, you can also get ampies as rewards for certain quests and events (for example, you can get a bunch of ampies (I think five of each?) in our current event with enough tickets). There's also the very small chance that you'll pull one in the normal gacha, since they're the only golds that can pop out there. Running the high tier missions is way more reliable though.

A little late for this, bit I can confirm that ?-4 does indeed, 100%, drop ampies as well.
