What he ment is not that you cant do the event fast, rather than Rush it - as in skipping the rewards and going only for the Blooms, reseting, going for the blooms, reseting, repeat, etc.
The way you can get so much event currency as there is, its pretty doable to go almost full clear on most of the resets, rather than just rush to the bloom and reset immediately.
