In an unnatural stroke of good luck I managed to get Maple last week. Does anyone know the mechanics of the 5+ ticket, do the odds favor Maple, i.e. would I be "wasting" it on a higher chance for a dupe by using it? Will it expire if I hang onto it for a "rainy day"?

They already updated the pool so you have a chance of getting other 6-star girls than Maple. Currently there's no expiry date for this ticket but most players just use it the moment they get it. As for me, I'd suggest you to use it like after a month or two. Who knows, that ticket might be able to draw newer girls added later to the pool.

Usually ticket pool don't change, even if there isnew girls in the priority gacha. And now, ticket have a time limit to use them. So, check it before keeping it too long and waste it.

Got Justica from my one 5* ticket, and got Lupine from my 5*+ ticket.
I did the Maple ticket gacha before for the 5*+ ticket and got Maple from it.
That, getting Justica, and Lupine being a new unit for me makes me not care much about not getting a 6* from the 5*+ ticket.
I wanted to replace Cyrtanthus with Justica (or Apple, Kale, or Laurentia) in my helper squad anyway.
