Cleared all sheets except for 17 cards on sheet 16. If I wake up on time tomorrow morning, I should manage to get those 3,400 chestnuts before the event is over. But today, I'll spend my spare stamina on the Whaleship. Doesn't hurt to gather some medals in advance for the next phase.

I'm still way behind on whaleship jewelry because I always buy the dragons ampys and manyuu. I need a ton of magic manyuu, so I might grind it out with refills in the next chapter.

So far, I never used my Whaleship medals for any of those. I get them from daily special maps, daily/weekly/main quests and events instead. So those have a variety of methods to aquire them, but for Whale jewelry, there's only one way. Clearing events and daily quests does take priority over the Whaleship for me though, but I'm also rarely hesitant to spend some FGs to run the whaleship when I don't have the latest jewelry yet. Once the Whaleship missions move to the next phase, the jewelry from the previous phase gets more expensive, so I rather get it before that happens.

It's just so much more simple to clear a whale map for 90 stamina and guarantee almost 2 dragons than to do the dragon daily and get five level 20s.
Same for manyuu, you can get 3 level 100's from one clear. (plus the drops from doing whale itself)
I honestly have no idea why people still do the dailies for those things, unless they just can't clear whale.

Um... are you sure about that? On my whale shop the very first necklaces are still the same cost as they were when it started... No prices have changed at all for me at least.

A second, more expensive copy of whaleship gear gets added. The original pieces don't change price.

Skipping the whaleship ampies is crazytalk. You always need more of those and they're cheap.

They're cheap, but elsewhere they're cheaper: they frequently drop for free on event maps, are always part of the event reward lineups, and then I get several more from the weekly quests.
But the most important point remains: you can't get Whaleship jewelry anywhere else. So far it's been managable to get one of each piece, mostly because I farm more medals in advance when I have the opportunity to do so. If I had prioritized ampies, I would be 3 jewelry pieces behind by now, or would've had to spend about 30 more FGs on stamina refills.

I think this is the wrong way to go about it. Jewelry stays in the store forever, ampies do not (and other consumables do not). My goal has always been to clear out ampies, manyu, affection items, and coins every shop period (so far that's been about every two whaleship cycles). If I have time to farm, I'll buy the next cheapest jewelry piece. Buy dragons and those bloom birds as need dictates.

As of this cycle, I mostly did the above but left some affection items and did some farming for the earrings. Next cycle, I'll probably be able to finish off the affection items and get the repeat necklace.
