Well, certainly this mess with current event is bringing a lot of subjects to discuss about.

I can't help but to think why is Nutaku handling this game so carelessly. And in a non-friendly way with us F2P.
I mean, during the first EG event it was easy to notice that most players didn't have enough time to build their SEDs and face something like those 8.7 guards. One could think that maybe Nutaku would take note of that, thus taking reasonable measures for the next event, but nope, we have this joke called Dark Airu and her insane HP (and limmed card for 300 kills? seriously?).

Even if they're betting on taking every possible cent from those whales, it just doesn't make any sense the way they're doing it. IMO their income strategy (forcing players to buy more event tickets by making slayer cards completely disposable, forcing puddings purchasing and making them only 1 hit worth, high prices overall, etc) is way too aggressive to be feasible for the mid/long term. Not only they're scaring the shit out of possible new customers, they're also likely starting to choke some paying players, and eventually the same will go for minor whales. I can't really say what could possibly happen with those hardcore whales, but from what we can see and read, Nutaku's approach aims to grab money asap. Dunno, maybe they're having deadlines issues?

I'm starting to think they're not planning to keep PPS alive in the long term. Even whales will get bored if they don't see a good bunch of active players to defeat, and we F2P are the ones playing that role, keeping whales interested.

If you ask me, a softer income approach would be better for the game overall, both F2P and paying players, longer term included.

But I'm glad this mess showed up in time. I was checking cards and planning to buy some event tickets just the day before they screwed with slayer cards, and that stopped me just in time, literally. Plus the Dark Airu failure, I think I'll go for something else.
