I'm kinda frustrated that the top 1000 SR card from the shard event isn't a slayer, while the same event gacha is now beta.

Could the card possibly become a slayer later on?

I figure they're moving away from rewarding slayer cards, to encourage people to buy eGacha tickets.

^This. I put effort into getting that SR card reward at a high lvl and now i sit here with nothing but the normal gacha slayer cause i wont pay for these cards, never.

Same here, so I'm just stacking a bunch of egacha till an event passes by with cards I really want. albeit slayer or reward.

Is it better to keep eGacha tickets for phase 2, or use them in Phase 1?

Generally you're better off waiting until phase 2 since they have higher multipliers.

Does anyone else really like the story of this event?

In 2nd haft players have bigger bonus so dont use radars or glasses in first half of this event.
Use 2-3 e-gache + 2-3 card revial when 2nd half of event starts and hope to ger 1-2 R slayer girls - each e-gacha have ruound 50% chance of giving a R-Slayers girl.
Get both N slayer girls forn N-Gacha. Get all slayer girl to level 100 or higher.

Get 50.000+ Points at all the past 8 times thay had this event. Newer spend a single $ on this game eigther.
At end of this event I will have more glasses and radars than at start with. Prity easy event for f2p - if you are smart.
High level help too in this event.
