It's so much like the argument in the late 90s and early 2000s in the US that violent video games make people commit murders or school shootings. I played Doom and most of the FPS games at the time. I also played Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3. (4 and beyond just got kind of... bad) So I've played a TON of violent games. Know how many people I've killed? Zero.

We have SO many REAL threats in this world, and instead we invent boogymen just to POSSIBLY arrest people that weren't going to do anything anyway. Good job, world.

I agree with you for the most part, but I think there are some kinds of porn that should be reprehensible to own by law, like real snuff and pedopornography (of course when it's not just staged acting). Even if the user don't do anything himself, he is still creating a demand, that's going to be met with an offer because that's how the world works. I don't think prison terms would be the best answer for this though, psychiatric care may be better for them. Of course, hentai on the other hand is harmless and eco-friendly. Also, most of the time the fetishes in hentai don't translate to real: I myself am into futa, but a real hermaphrodite would totally have me weirded out sooner than excited.
