Toxic = Deals 1/8th of target's max HP at turn's end.
Darkness (aka Blind) = Miss attacks (not all? Magic?).

Paralysis (aka Bind) = Prevent action until it wears off.
Petrify (aka Stun) = (??) Insta-kill enemy or prevent ally action (until removed?). Possibly infinite duration.
Sleep = Does not take action, will break out of sleep if attacked, except for magic attacks.

Characters that inflict guaranteed status effects and what level they get the skill at. May add unreliable status effects later.

Attribute Bonuses
Damage Bonuses: All characters have an innate Elemental Attribute which gives them +50 (e.g. Margaret is Thunder Attribute so possesses +50 Thunder).
When a character attacks an enemy with an Element they are weak against, damage dealt is only 50%.
Multiple Attributes: Character's can be equipped with items to give them additional Elemental Attributes, they take on both the advantages and disadvantages when doing so.
If a character with both Thunder and Fire Attributes attacks a Wood enemy, the damage from the Thunder bonus is applied:
Margaret (Thunder) attacks Wood enemy = 50% Damage.
Margaret (Thunder) with Aguni Sword (+50 Fire) attacks Wood enemy = 150% Damage.
Note: By gaining the Fire Attribute, Margaret then becomes weak against Water enemies:Margaret (Thunder) with Aguni Sword (+50 Fire) attacks Wood enemy = 150% Damage.
Margaret (Thunder) attacked by Water enemy = 50% Damage.
Margaret (Thunder) with Aguni Sword (+50 Fire) attacked by Water enemy = 150% Damage.
A character equipped with an Attribute opposite to their own will never do reduced damage against any type. However they will also have 2 Elemental weaknesses.Margaret (Thunder) with Aguni Sword (+50 Fire) attacked by Water enemy = 150% Damage.
Alternatively, if Margaret was equipped with an Aranya Sword (+50 Wood), she does bonus damage against Thunder and Water enemies, reduced damage to both Fire and Wood enemies.
Attack Priority: In combat, the order in which Elemental effects take priority is:
Absorbtion (not yet added) > Attacker > Defender.
- If the attack target can absorb any of the Elemental Attributes possessed by the attacker, the damage will be absorbed.
- If the attack target is weak to any of the Elemental Attributes possessed by the attacker, the damage will be increased.
- If the attack target is resistant to any of the Elemental Attributes possessed by the attacker, the damage will be reduced.
- If none of the above are triggered, the damage will be nominal.
Margaret (Thunder) with Aranya Sword (+50 Wood) attacks enemy with Thunder absorption = Damage is absorbed (even though Margaret possesses the Wood Attribute).
Margaret (Thunder) with Aguni Sword (+50 Fire) attacks a Wood enemy = Damage bonus (even though she possesses the Thunder Attribute).
Margaret (Thunder) with Aranya Sword (+50 Wood) attacks a Thunder enemy = Damage reduced (even though she possesses the Thunder Attribute).
Currently working under the suspicion that Same Type Attribute bonuses (Fire Char + Fire Boost, etc.) DON'T stack. Would love for someone to prove this wrong. Seems like a flaw in game mechanics.

Damage
What does M, L, XXL mean?
No apparent difference in Magical Attack and Physical Attack damage calculations.
There seems to be 3 different power levels for skills (S, M, L, XL, XXL) depending on how the attack works:
Single target abilities do the most damage.
Attacks which hit multiple targets, e.g. Epic Freeze (L), do slightly less damage than attacks which only hit a single target, e.g. Zeta Frost (L).
Attacks which provide a damage bonus (to allies) do even less.

Buffs & Debuffs
Effectiveness of various buffs.
Buffs stack so feel free to cast as many as you want on your characters.
i.e. Boost Brave (+55%) + Maxi-Brave (+80%) = +135% Attack Power boost for 3 turns.
Remember, turn count includes the current turn, so skills like "Sacrificial Form" only apply to damage calculation next turn.
Damage Calculation becomes:
(((Unit Attack + Attack Buffs%) x Skill Power) - (Target Defence)/4 + Damage Modifiers%) = Final Damage.
